How Team works, in four steps
Most teams are set up in about ten minutes.
Create your Team account
Choose Team account → I’m the administrator and sign in with Google or a magic link. A Team account is separate from an Individual one, even with the same email.
Pick a group username
Choose a short, unique name for your business, like happy-paws-austin. Your caregivers will type it when they sign in.
Add your caregivers
In Team, enter each caregiver’s name and a password, then copy their personal link. Send the link and the password in separate messages. They don’t need an email address.
Assign their pets
Pick a caregiver when you add a pet, use the Assign menu on any pet card, or tick several pets and assign them all at once.

You stay in control. Caregivers get a simple, focused screen with only their own pets.

Team Free: You add two caregivers, Maria and Leo. Each can have up to 2 pets assigned, so your book holds 4 pets in total.
Team Pro: You can add up to 6 caregivers and keep up to 120 pets. Spread them however you like: one caregiver can have 40 pets and another can have 10.
Team Master: Same idea, built for bigger crews: up to 20 caregivers and 400 pets.
Good to know
- • You don’t count as a caregiver. The limits are for the people you add.
- • Pets you haven’t assigned still count toward your total.
- • Nothing is ever deleted when you reach a limit. You simply can’t add more until you upgrade.
When you reach a limit
Pawlio shows a friendly message with the next plan that fits, right when you need it. Upgrades are yearly, and you can upgrade at any time from inside the app.
Questions, answered
Is a Team account the same as my Individual account?
No. They are two separate accounts, even if you use the same email. Pets in your Individual account don’t appear in your Team account. If you’d like help moving your records, contact support and we’ll gladly help.
Do my caregivers need their own email address?
No. They sign in with your group username, their name and the password you created for them.
What if a caregiver leaves my business?
Remove them in the Team panel. Their access ends right away and their pets go back to “Not assigned,” ready to give to someone else.
Can caregivers see each other’s pets or my clients?
No. Each caregiver only sees the pets you assign to them. Your team’s data is kept separate from every other business on Pawlio.
How does billing work?
Paid plans are a single payment for one year — they don’t renew automatically, so you’re never charged without choosing to pay. There are no monthly fees and no sales calls. Team Free stays free as long as you like.
Can I start free and upgrade later?
Yes. Start with Team Free, add your first caregivers, and upgrade only when you need more pets or more people.
